Most cities are now facing a high demand for built structures and infrastructures. With dwindling supply of open spaces, old structures which had been designed for lower intensity use have to be torn down or built over. This renewal process has created the need for demolition of superstructures and removal of underground obstructions.
Underground obstructions comprising substructures and old foundations includes : basement walls and floors, underpass structures, underground retaining walls, buttress wall, abandoned utilities, bored piles, RC piles, H-piles, pipe piles, etc. The impact of such removal have to be carefully studied to prevent any instability.
We have adapted our foundation installation techniques to successfully complete a number of underground obstructions removal projects with some next to existing MRT structures and conservation buildings.
